• Meet Mark Buzan

    Mark Buzan has worked in the not-for-profit sector and in politics at all three levels of government (federal, provincial, municipal) for over twenty years.

    Mark grew up in a rural farming community near London, Ontario. From a young age, his family has instilled in him the value of hard work.

    As a consultant in the non-profit sector, Mark has applied his skills in communications, advocacy, government relations, and business development to directing strategic plan initiatives, strategy, business operation plans, governance policies, and annual budget planning for organizations across Canada. He has been the Executive Director for organizations such as the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada, the College of Professional Pilots of Canada, and the Canadian Dental Assistants Association.

    Mark has been involved in politics at all levels of government since 1990. He started his career as the executive assistant to the Hon. Jason Kenney, and is a former organizer for the Reform Party of Canada, the Canadian Alliance, the Action démocratique du Québec, and the Conservative Party of Québec. He was also the ADQ candidate for Hull in 1998 and a candidate for the Conservative nomination in Pontiac—Kitigan Zibi in 2025.

    Mark holds a Master's Certificate in Government Relations from the Government Relations Institute of Canada and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. He also holds an Accreditation in Public Relations and is a Certified Association Executive. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, he is a proud husband to his wife Carolina and father to his son Simon.
